Where do my notes live?
On your iPhone. Nothing leaves the device. There is no account, no cloud sync, no server.
What does the grade number mean?
It's the Flesch-Kincaid reading grade level for your note. A grade of 6 means a sixth grader could follow it. Lower is easier to read. Tap the chip for the full breakdown including word count and estimated reading time.
Why is my readability grade so high?
Long sentences and longer words push the grade up. Tap the eye in the corner to see exactly which ones: long and passive sentences get highlighted, and weak words get underlined. Fix those and the number drops as you edit.
What do the highlights mean?
Tap the eye to turn them on. A highlight marks a long or passive sentence; an underline marks a single weak word — an adverb, a filler word, or a fancy word with a simpler match. Tap the grade chip while highlights are on and it lists how many of each you have. Long-press the eye to choose which checks run.
